I'd suggest using a download manager like "DownThemAll!" for Firefox.
Though I wouldn't hold my breath for them removing the extra languages. They'd have to have potentially hundreds of separate releases (one for each language) if they did that.

My download of the OO 2.3 EXE w/o JRE from ibiblio and
other sources will not complete. It goes to 99 or 100%
and hangs. I use Firefox and XP. I have this problem
every time you release a new update. After about a
month I can finally get it to download and WRITE to
disc in its entirety. Is this a windows signature
problem? If so tell Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer I
will beat both their a**es if I see them.

Also please stop including Swahili and other non
Romance laguages in the EXEs you distribute. Why
swahili and hungarian? I only want engilish, german,
italian, and french. Is this an oversight? Is there a
way to save my dictionaries from one update to the
next easily?

Thanks

OO, like all good GNU licensed software, is supported by people from all over the world. We who speak primarily English (American) and are often challenged when faced by another language should consider ourselves very fortunate that so many others have chosen to learn English as well, as their native language, and are willing to help answer our questions when they are asked in English. We are the beneficiaries of the spread of English during the Victorian era and I, for one, am happy OO and other packages include so many languages in their support list. This support helps spread the use of OO and the other packages giving us a choice between Microsoft and competing packages. Without their support we would be left in a Microsoft world with no choices at all.
