You are sure, the files you had sent to me, were from the user folder? Even when I cancelled the 'Welcome'-window (First Start Wizard), there was always this minimum inside Setup.xcu: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <oor:component-data xmlns:oor="http://openoffice.org/2001/registry" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" oor:name="Setup" oor:package="org.openoffice"> <node oor:name="L10N"> <prop oor:name="ooLocale" oor:type="xs:string"> <value>en-US</value> </prop> </node> <node oor:name="Office"> <prop oor:name="ooSetupInstCompleted" oor:type="xs:boolean"> <value>true</value> </prop> </node> </oor:component-data> I don't understand, how your files could get into the user folder. This entry <node oor:name="Office"> <prop oor:name="ooSetupInstCompleted"> <value>false</value> is also in my Setup.xcu in the program (share) folder and it is no statement, whether installation was successful or not. But it should not appear in your Setup.xcu of the user folder. No more ideas to that point ... With regard to your screenshot: When starting e.g. Writer, the shown icon left at the top, is the same during a short time between splashscreen and opened document. 'OpenOffice.org' is part of the title bar. First Start Wizard (which should appear) has the same icon, also maximize button disabled, but a 'Welcome-to...-title-bar' Installation Wizard has another icon. But this window baffles me and I have no additional ideas, how to do the next step. It would be nice, you could give feedback to the suggestions of 'NoOp' ... Thanks - Manfred -- CC: Scott J.
