You should look for '^ '; ^ is the beginning of a line and can only be followed
by stuff; $ is the end of a line and can't be followed by stuff.

Sure. Just create a regular expression to check for a space immediately
following a newline.
I tried searching for `$ ` and Writer did not find an instance.
