Dave

Thank you for responding to my email. I assure you that I have already written
the coding for this. Per your message, I have checked the Format -> Character
-> Font Effects -> Effects feature and did not find the functionality I
mentioned there. Let me explain what I an talking about.

Toggle case: This is handy for someone who has typed several sentences without
realizing that he had the "Caps Lock" key activated the whole time. He
needs only to highlight the offending text, and choose Format -> Change Case
-> tOGGLE cASE. All of the offending text will be changed to the proper case.

Sentence case: This feature will set the proper capitalization for a string of
text allowing for sentence structure. The first letter in a sentence will be
capitalized,
and all other letters set to lower case. The method recognizes a sentence ender
as a period, question mark, or exclamation point followed by two spaces or a
carriage
return. Unfortunately, the method cannot recognize proper names--the user will
have to be responsible for that.

Both of these methods have been written in the form of ActionListeners that can
be easily instantiated and added to a MenuItem.

I have these methods in a demonstrator program written in Java 5.0 and can send
you the .java file at your convenience.
