Hi,
I need to use different versions of Open Office in the same Windows 2003
Server, one of them is used as usual, as a office suite so can be
updated and managed as it is supossed to.
The other one has to be an exact version placed in a different folder
because it is used by a Java program that runs on an applet so the
classpth and the permissions on java.policy and deployment.properties
need the exact folder name. What's more, the development team asks us
(the systems team) for a precise version of OO.
We have installed both versions (2.3 and 2.2) but when one of them is
running all the calls to the other versions fails (actually they work,
but not with the version we are trying to run). E.g. If I start version
2.2 and (while OO is running) try to start writer of version 2.3,
actually opens 2.2.
I have tried disabling quick start, but doesn't work.
We have also tried Portable Open Office (www.portableapps.com) for the
Java appliction but it has other problems (related with the multiuser
environment and other more).
Any Ideas?
