Hello mr. Cadwell,

I have also noted that when online and doing a cut & paste from an online document it will have the graphics in O O but the minute I drop off line I loose all the graphics. I did not want O O to automatically access the I-net like Word tends to do so I did not activate those features. it appears however that there is no way to shut this off which strikes me as a _/*MAJOR*/_ security flaw!!!

When you paste from the internet, the graphics are linked.
By choosing Edit|Links in the menu of OOo, you can start a window where you can choose for un-linking. The graphics are actually in your document then. So this is not a bug. Just something you didn't realise or know before. Which is not a shame, since there a quite a few features that you cannot all understand without learning.

Kindest regards,
Cor
