Unfortunately this doesn't work :(
It seems to fail if you have more than one style of border:

Make a new style, give it two different size borders.
Save, close and reopen it.
Set 'no borders', the left button under default line arrangement, Organizer
shows 'no borders'.
Save, close
Apply this style to a cell with borders, the borders disappear.

Creating a new style and never touching the borders and setting background,
when applying this style, the borders are left alone and only the background is
changed.

Once borders are set, you can not remove it.

In general speaking, I also want simular behaviour for all other settings,
meaning I only want to apply styles I change/set. Other styles should not be
applied. This way I can use a style to set only the background e.q. without
changing borders settings, font settings etc. A 'remove' or 'do not apply'
choise would be nice. (I believe the background is always changed).

Another things that has a strange behaviour is applying 'no borders' to a cell
with borders.
If the cell has all borders set (1pt) (incl cross) and applying 'no borders',
the diagonal from top left to bottom right is not deleted.
If the cell has all borders set at 2.5pt, applying 'no borders' removes all
borders, but top and bottom are not completely wiped out. You have to refresh
the page by moving forth and back to another tab e.q.
