Hi Jim,
Nope OpenOffice.org does not come with an integrated email / Calendar
module. However, most folks that I know, using MS Office are moving to
Thunderbird as the replacement to Outlook. Not really a feature for
feature replacement but for ~90% of the folks it seems to be fine.
Calendar wise there is a both a Calendar addon for Thunderbird (
Lightning ) and a stand alone Calendar ( Sunbird ) from the Mozilla group.
Going forward it appears the OpenOffice.org will be 'integrating' ( what
ever that means exactly, cause I haven't seen it spelled out ) with
Tunderbird / Lightning. In fact some of the OpenOffice.org developers
have now been assigned to work on the Lightning project with Mozilla.
So I would think going with Thunderbird now would be a reasonable move.
