Compatible: Yes. You can either use Synaptic to install the Ubuntu build, or download and install the Sun build from OOo. (In an ideal environment, you could download and install both.) The Ubuntu build has some features that the Sun build does not have. The Sun build has some features that the Ubuntu build does not have.
