If you have a previously installed version 1.x.x series you will have both OOo (OpenOffice.org) version 1.x.x and version 2.3.0 available on your computer. If your existing version is from the 2.x.x series and you do a standard (non-customized) 2.3.0 install, your previous installation will be upgraded. Hope this helps.
