If you have any problems, please send your questions to this mailing
list. But you need to be more specific in what is happening when you try
to spell check a word.
Try this:
1) Open Writer
2) Misspell a word
3) Click on the word so that the cursor in in it
4) Format > Character
5) Click the Font tab
What is listed under Language? Is it the correct language? Does it
have a tick with an "abc" in front of it?
OOo 2.3.0 can spell check words in many different languages, but you
have to specify which language you are using. And you have to have the
dictionary for that language installed. With the use of styles, you can
have a document with more than one language and be able to spell check the
words in each language according to their language.
Please try these steps and report back to this mailing list with the
results. Send that email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Do not send the email to
