[users] Separating functions for downloading

Can you tell me whether it is possible to download only specific functions in 
OO?   I only really require wordprocessing (Writer?) and Macros.  Total 
downloading takes several hours and as I am on dial-up access there are 
frequent interruptions when the line drops out..   Any advice appreciated,
