The Aqua port for Mac is still in "Alpha" phase ... meaning it is a very
early release with many known unfinished pieces, after which it will go
through a Beta phase for pre-release testing. According to the
OpenOffice.org "roadmap" page, the OS X/Aqua version has an
"undetermined" roadmap.
One good bit of news is that this port is coming along very nicely. I am
starting to believe we Mac users will enjoy a very nice office suite
when it is done.
Another good bit of news is that NeoOffice, a "derived" project, was
available for Aqua some time ago. The first release version was very
very slow, but I downloaded and briefly looked at their latest version
last week and it appeared to be much faster (emphasis on "appeared" ...
