You cannot do this with plain text, but you can do it with a frame into which you can enter text. Use Insert | Frame ... to create a frame. On the Type tab of the Frame window, for Position | Vertical, select Center or Bottom in the left window and whatever is suitable - either "Entire page" or "Page text area" - in the right window. Enter your text into the frame. The frame need not have a border, of course, so it can be completely invisible in the final document.
