X11 is included among the Utilities that come with Leopard
(see: http://www.apple.com/macosx/techspecs/)

It might be a newer version of X11 than the actual 1.1.3, because on this page:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/technology/unix.html
Apple says about 64-bit technology that:
"Leopard is the first mainstream OS to completely and seamlessly
support both 64-bit and 32-bit applications on the same platform,
making use of all your existing devices. Even major graphical system
libraries — including Cocoa, X11, and OpenGL — are available to both
32-bit and 64-bit processes."

Some people advise against installing a new OS over the old, but I had
no problems whatsoever when I installed Tiger over Panther a few years
ago. Better make a back-up of important files though ;-) I hope to
welcome a brand new MacBook Pro with Leopard soon...
