Download the American version and also the English Language Pack: install them
in that order and all will be fine.
Note that the language pack is labelled ...2.3rc3: it hasn't been officially
released as 2.3 because of QA issues, but I've found no problems over the past

Or just live with the American menus, help text etc. but download,
install and make default the UK English dictionary. Personally I don't
care about US spelling in some of the help text as long as my own
documents don't have "color" or "aluminum" in them unless I specifically
want them to, like in this e-mail.
File>Wizards>Install New Dictionaries and then follow your nose.
