When I learned to type I was the only boy in "Typing class" in high school.
It's one thing that I learned in high school that I can honestly say I use
every day of the week.

Back then, we learned on big, heavy manual Underwood typewriters.  And two
spaces was required at the end of every sentence.  (One space after a period
following an abbreviation like Mr. Jones, of course.)

The single space at the end of a sentence was brought about after the invention
of word processors that could do proportional spacing.
