All modules of OpenOffice.org fail to open. Had been working fine - actually
happened briefly about 2 weeks ago but became fine again applying an
available update. Now the no-start has begun again, with no particular
action on my part. It just begins and evaporates at that initial screen.

Gives startup screen for 3-6 seconds. tried in terminal window and got this
message (cut&pasted):
----

Dell Dimension 8100 with 384 MB RAM.
Machine is multiboot: OOo runs fine on Kubuntu 7.10 and Windows XP Pro.
Another machine (HP Pavilionzv5000 with 2.6.18.8.tex5 kernel and OOo
v2.3.0PCLinuxOS 2007) is doing fine. So is its OOo under Windows XP
Home.

Apt-get has been used to remove and replace all OOo packages. Same behavior.
