[users] opening up open office on Mac

Hi

I have installed the latest version on a Mac running 10.5
My problem is that when I click on Open Office it does not open up  
with a blank page and the only way I can get access to the product is  
to open an existing document.

I had the same problem with the previous version on an earlier os.
