I am evaluating Open Office as a possible replacement for Office 97 Pro. In general, I am favorably impressed, however, I have found a few issues. One issue is the lack of an Outlook type program for e-mail, calendar, and contact manager. A reply to an earlier question on this newsgroup referred me to Thunderbird and Lightning which seem to work pretty good. However, the Office suite allowed all of the modules to work interactively with one address book. Does Open Office work interactively with either the Windows address book or the Thunderbird Personal address book? Keeping multiple address books updated and synchronized would be a real pain in the rear. If this feature is not presently available, incorporating it into the next release very useful.
