James, The URL definitely takes the user to an openoffice.org web site, in particular to "http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ErrorPage". So what is this site? When I go there I get "Password ticket 8f70f9e837630ed5b294e94efc790cfc is not valid. It may have been expired or used already." which seems to indicate that OO Knows about passwords and tickets.
