We would not be distributing outside of our company.

Others have said that OpenOffice is free to use. All true. Not only that but you may freely distribute the software *outside* your company as well as within it. Feel free to encourage your customers, suppliers, relatives, friends, whoever to install it and use it. You/they can use it for any purpose - business, personal (yes, you can freely install and use it on your home computer), education, whatever. In addition, support for OpenOffice is free via this e-mail list which is "staffed" by volunteers from all over the world.
