Hi *,

Working with 2.3.0 I had recently two crashes when working with lot of apps, ánd the IDE (Basic environment of OOo) after OOo had been inactive (but open) for quite a long time and I tried to use OOo again.

Yesterday, I had two situations where choosing a document with the menu 'Window' didn't work. I had to use the task-bar to get to the document. In both situations, the IDE was active and quite some work/apps were active.

Mind: this are rare occasions. Most of the time I can work fine without any problem. But AFAIKR, I haven't experienced this in previous versions.

Are there people who do lots of work mixed / at same time and who did experience the same, maybe incidentally?

I'm talking about my Windows-partition now. 1GB Memory.
I've also installed dev-builds of OOo, but don't expect that that has anything to do with it.

Any idea's / me-too's ?
I have seen OOo 2.3 become unstable a few times, but it was never anything that I could link to the IDE. That said, I almost always have both the IDE and many other windows open at the same time. I usually see strange things when I am rapidly moving and clicking the mouse or something. At one point, OOo became so slow that I watched the icons all refresh state; took a few seconds. At least it was not really locked, however.

The only instabilities that I have seen in the IDE have been related to specific things that I do in the IDE such as calling a DLL that throws an exception (and OOo crashed). I have been putting the finishing touches on a code highlighter for Basic, Java, and C++. I was changing multiple modules at the same time. You get a little strangeness when there is a syntax error in a module other than the current one. You must switch modules for the IDE to realize that it is no longer running a macro (if I remember correctly).
