It can be downloaded for whatever your Internet Connection charges you for the traffic/bandwidth that downloading it entails. There are several versions of OOo for Macintosh. NeoOffice probably is most similar to the look and feel of native Macintosh applications. >and use it in his Apple and transfer my Microsoft Access and Word etc without undue problems. How well that works, depends upon: * how much data has to be transferred; * What that data is used for; Migrating databases is not for the fainthearted. Consider migrating the database to MySQL, Postgres, or SQLite. You will still be able to use OOo as a front end. The back end will be platform independent --- which means that regardless of the OS the next secretary uses, the data won't need to remigrated. > Looking forward to your reply, with costs if you agree it will work In theory, you could do the data migration yourself. In practice, you'll probably need to hire a firm that specializes in either FLOSS migration, or data migration. FWIW,you have written to a mailing list where help is provided by volunteers. Any costs for what you propose will have to be negotiated with another organization. xan jonathon --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
