I have received a message to update "java" for which I am requested to enter my password. It would appear that I am entering an incorrect password. Can you please send a reminder of the correct password.
It sounds like your operating system (Windows Vista?) is asking for a password in order to get permission to install java.
The password it is asking for is the one you (or someone else) gave the computer when the operating system was installed.
