Thank you very much. --Jay-- OpenOffice Portable comes from someone who modifies the OpenOffice package and concerns about it should be directed to them.  Also, that version is intended to be installed on removable drives, so that it can be carried to and used on computers that do not have OpenOffice installed.  If you want OpenOffice on the hard drive in your computer, you should install the regular package that you can download from www.openoffice.org. --
