I have an HP Scanjet 3770 flatbed scanner wihch I use on Win XP Pro. It
came with OCR software. The software knows how to scan (via OCR)
directly into a .doc MS Word document or into an RTF file. Is there some
way to make it "aware of" OpenOffice so that I can scan directly into a
.odt Writer document? Because I don't have Word installed the software
fails (not unreasonably) when I tell it to scan into Word. I've browsed
the HP support sites and Goolged but so far ...
