Where did you find that? Every version of OpenOffice is a free download from www.openoffice.org. The latest version is 2.3 and versions 1.1.5, the last 1.x version and also 1.0.3, which is the latest that will run on Windows 95 are all available for free download. You don't have to pay for any of them.Hello open office, I downloaded the Free version 1.0 of Open Office. I don't know how to Install it. I emailed with help question on this & got answer that I should double click icon on desktop & install from there. I did this but still dont see a install wizard or other install directions to complete. I am only interested in the free version as I cant afford the cost of the regular version,I am on a fixed income. The reason I want to download & install the free version is so I can open some emails sent to me in office & pps file names. So far I cant open these. Am I downloading the right application for what I need? I guess I am to much a novice to understand. Should I uninstall the version I now downloaded & start over with first the download & then the installation? Thanks for any help you can give me.....Joanne ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) Please respond only to the mail list ([email protected]) and not directly to me |
