I'm noticing that my current ooffice suite (an OpenOffice 2.2 version
identified in Help/About as "openoffice.org 2.2.0-1ubuntu5, Wed. Oct. 3
23.22.17 UTC 2007") does not have Base among its features.
I have in particular the .txt (semicolon-delimited) exports from two MS
Access tables (containing customer data and invoice details,
respectively) that provide the information we need for billing purposes.
The idea was to use these .txt files, or Base tables created from them
in a Base database, to generate invoices via Write's mail-merge feature
(or a custom-designed report printout, as I used to in MS Access).
