Peter: Thanks for your reply. I have a small database. Using 002.3 I was able
using the Wizard to create a address database from my kde address book. I
just can not seem to find a way to select the address I want to print (or
delete the ones I do not want). I would then like to print these address on a
custom Avery label template. The mail merge wizard only seems useful for
letter's. Could not figure out mail merge labels on a custom template.
Forgive me if I'm teaching Granny to suck eggs. Did you successfully create a
data source via File>Wizards>Address Data Source? If you did that then you
should have access to your address data in Writer, either manually via View>Data
Sources (F4 works in Windows but I'm not certain whether KDE uses that key for
another purpose), or automatically via File>New>Labels. Once you can see your
database you can select records as usual with a click, or Ctrl+click for
multiple, non-sequential records.
If you get stuck somewhere within this process, could you try to be precise
about which step is problematical? Once this is out of the way we can move on to
Mail Merge which, despite the seeming contradiction, is the way to print
multiple labels.
