Hello everybody,
Well, in a hutshell our problem is as follows. We have an a bunch of
Linux machines running OpenSuSE 10.2 and 10.3 that run OO 2.0, 2.2 and
2.3. We are trying to integrate multimedia (predominantly AVI's) into
Impress Presentations. On some machines that works, on others it does
not, and I can not tell what makes it work or fail. I have tried
installing various versions of JRE/JVM/JMF and still I can't see any
rhyme or reason to this.
I have spent about a week battling this, and am still nowhere. We do
need this resolved. We are a part of a large research community as we
are a biomedical lab supported by Partners Healthcare, NIH, Harvard and
MIT. We really enjoy using the OpenOffice as it works great - when it
works - and we would like to get our collaboratos to use it as well -
but we can't do that until we can get all the functionality we need to
work for ourselves.
So, in short, any and all help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, and happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the US of A.
Cheers,
--
