This is very much a guess, so try what I suggest at your own
risk. Perhaps this Script.xlb file has become corrupted.
o Close OpenOffice and the Quickstarter.
o Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Alison Prior\Application
Data\OpenOffice.org2\user\basic\Standard.
o Rename the file Script.xlb to something else, e.g.
Script.xlb.was. (This disables it but preserves it in case you need
to recover it later.)
o Navigate to C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.3\presets\basic\Standard.
o Copy the Script.xlb file you will find there to the other folder
to replace the original copy.
o Start OpenOffice and test.
I got the same error message before when using Open Office 2.2 and
never managed to resolve it.
That makes sense: files in the folders in your profile are
configuration files stored per user and are preserved across an
upgrade so as to keep your configuration details. If the file had
been corrupted, it would stay corrupted, I think.
If this doesn't work or creates any further problems, you should be
able to recover the situation by deleting the copied file and
renaming the original back to its original name.
I trust this helps.
