I am thinking about downloading and using OpenOffice but the only English version appears to be USEnglish. I need to use proper English in my word proccessing documents and I was wondering if OO has UK English capabilities like MSOffice e.g. UK English dictionary ?
English is not a problem. You can select English as the default language for documents in Tools>Options>Language Settings>Languages. Don't forget to set the Locale and the Default languages for documents. You could also download and install the English Language Pack which will give you an English user interface as well. http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/openoffice/extended/2.3.0rc3/OOo_2.3.0rc3_20070910_Win32Intel_langpack_en-GB.exe Note that the language packs are labelled as rc3, but have no fear: the English one works well with the released version 2.3.0 of OpenOffice.org.
