Thank [EMAIL PROTECTED] Jody If it's not listed in Add/Remove software, then it's probably not installed.  To verify, see if there's a folder and icons in your Start menu.  Another way to check, is to click on Start > Run and enter soffice in the Run box. To install OpenOffice, you have to download the installer from www.openoffice.org and then double click on the downloaded file, to start the installation. At the moment, the latest version is 2.3, with 2.3.1 apparently out soon.  Version 3 is still way in the future. --
