Greetings,
If I have a file with a bunch of data laid out in lines like this:
20/02/04 08:41:54 107.690000 107.720000
snip
Rename the file so it has a ".csv" extension, run calc and do File>Open to
open the file. In the "Text Import" pane that appears, select "Separated by"
and then select "Space" as the *only* separator. You'll get one field per
cell with each line of the file going into a new row. Now format the columns
as appropriate although none should be necessary depending on your settings
for date and time.
When you cut and past such a text you also get the 'Text Import' pane.
In MS excel you can select this kind of text and select 'Data' ->
'Text to Columns' this does a similar job as 'Text Import'.
Might be an idea to make 'Text Import' available for selected cells.
Erik
Use Paste Special instead of Paste and choose "Unformatted text". The
same Text Import pane appears and you can proceed as before.
