Hi,

When you use Word to set up outline numbering, there is a tab between the
number and the heading as in this example:

1. /t How to Make Bread

1.1. /t How to Make Rye Bread

However, in Writer you have to specify the number of spaces, not a tab, after
the number, under Tools > Outline Numbering. Generally the tab just doesn't
come through correctly.

This means that many Word documents open in Writer with no space between the
number and the text. This is easily remedied by specifying one or more spaces
after the number in Tools > Outline Numbering.

However, it would be nice to be able to set Writer to have a default of at
least one space after the number. Is there a place to do that in one of the
XML config files, so that Word files would come through with spaces between the
number and the heading text?

Thanks,
Solveig
