I don't see that top posting is easier than bottom posting. As I wrote elsewhere, the difference in effort between the two is trivial compared to the effort one should put into composing a reply.
For me bottom posting only makes sense if I do snip the mail I reply to. Often, that's not trivial.
Of course I don't mean to imply anyone is putting that little effort into composing his replies. 8-)
