The latest versions of OpenOffice support sound in Impress but you do
not tell us what version you are working on.
What operating system are you using? I am going to assume windows. If
you use windows you can download from Microsoft a PowerPoint Viewer that
will enable you to view the presentation. If you want to edit the
presentation then you have a problem on your hands and will need to ask
again.
