I agree. Perhaps we should have paid more attention to this case - especially as the QS still is installed by default. Feel free to create an issue (owner mba). So perhaps that was what Harold meant by "minimized"? I thought he was talking about a minimized OOo window but maybe I misunderstood that. If an OOo window (minimized or not) is already open and another OOo document is opened from the desktop it is correct to let the desktop decide whether the focus is transferred to the new window or not.
