No, OpenOffice.org doesn't convert anything into anything. Unless you (or someone else) tells it to, file by file. So files that existed on your system before OpenOffice.org was there, can still be opened by whatever you had before (and still have). What was it again? Word? Wow... are people still using that? Does it really work? At least I failed to install it on my Linux system. Then someone told me that it wasn't available for Linux... ha ha ha. Very absurd. And it wasn't free?? Well, maybe I misunderstood that part of the deal... Please send me instruction for how to get rid of you entirely and how to > convert my files back to Word docs for I am unable to do it using your > "thing" inappropriately called "open office."? I looked at your support menu > and this was apparently not included. As some people already said, just uninstall it exactly the same way as you uninstall just about everything else. I am an attorney. I am not and I am still happy. By the way, what is attorney? Well, never mind, I'll google it. Thank you > Clinton Johnson Thank you too. Johnny Rosenberg
