Hi,

Does anybody know a good way to realize alternating shading in tables in OOo-Writer? It would be a nice trick to make long tables more readable, but it's quit boring to alternate the background-colour of every second row by hand.
on the Table toolbar, you can click the AutoFormat icon to open the AutoFormat dialog. Some of the AutoFormats have an alternating color for rows or for columns. You can define your own color pattern for rows or columns in a table, then open AutoFormat and add that design to the list.
