[users] Showing Formatting

Can someone tell me how to SHOW the formatting. I have a large document 
which is in chapters, ie sections. Each chapter should have a header of the 
chapter name. This has worked very well, except for just one chapter where 
the header has the name of the previous chapter. If I change it the headers 
on the previous chapters change, also. I am sure that the problem is 
something to do with 'inserting a section', but don't know what to do.

Any help gratefully received.
