I've had the same issue, sort of. Spell check usually works, but sometimes I have the issue where it ignores words I know are misspelled. I also have problems with the Thesaurus. It works in some documents but in others it's grayed out and nothing I do will activate it. I use an online Dictionary and Thesaurus through Google or I can open a new document which will have the Thesaurus and paste the word I want to check on. It's very odd and frustrating.
