I am using OOO 2.20, and I accidentally performed a writer "save" operation, when I
wanted to do a "save as" instead. I did not have backups turned on, (because I didn't
know about them until I started trying to recover). Is there any possible way to recover the
original file? I searched, found, and saved an .XCU file from my temporary folder that seemed to
contain text from the original document, but I don't know how to open it or recover the original
contents, if they are in fact there.

Once you save a file, I don't believe there is any way to recover the
file that was previously saved under that same file name. But I'm far
from an expert -- can anyone else offer any suggestions?
