Hi, Thanks for the reply, my son is a computer engineer, and a programming engineer and he says the program is the problem. He doesn't know why and spending a lot of time trying to figure it out isn't worth the effort, as I have Microsoft office and it has no problem printing. Neither does two other free open source word processing programs we down loaded as a test from the web. We both went to the open office site and found messages like mine, and it seems no one has solved the problem. It doesn't seem to effect a lot of people, just a few of us lucky ones I guess. There are no error messages, it just doesn't print, no other program on my system has this problem so it isn't my system. I give up, I just deleted the open office program, that's the easy way out. Thanks for the work around, but I'd rather just go back to old Microsoft office.
