I know you've got some answers that will work. Wanted to offer another option. Highlight the entire row by clicking the row number in the left margin. Now whenever you press enter after typing something the cell pointer will move to the next cell to the right. When the row is first highlighted the cell pointer moves to the first column that is displayed, e.g. if you've scrolled to the right so "M" is the first visible column and highlight any row the cell pointer jumps to column "M" for that row. If column "A" is the first visible column then the cell pointer jumps to that column. Press enter as many times as needed to get to the column you want to start entering data into. Once you've completed your entry press enter and the cell pointer jumps to the next cell to the right. When you've completed your entries on the current row highlight the next row that you want to edit and start over again. Tested and works in OOo 2.3.1 on Windows XP Pro SP2 and on Ubuntu 7.10.
