I'm certainly having issues - maybe it's because I come from the Word world. I'm trying to write a text book - which I have done in Word and it all works. But now I must write this text in OpenOffice. The text is 350 pages in length I need to set up sections in each chapter. For example 1. Table of Contents a. This Title page would not have a header/footer on it b. Page 2 have "Page 2" at the left margin, nothing in the center and "Tables of Contents" on the right margin c. Page 3 would have "Table of Contents" at the left margin and "Page 3" on the right hand side and so on. The next chapter would be: 2. Food and Beverage - Point of Sale a. This title page would not have a header/footer on it b. Page 2 would have "Page 2" at the left margin, nothing in the center and "Food and Beverage - Point of Sale" at the right c. Page 3 would have "Food and Beverage - Point of Sale" at the left margin nothing in the center and "Page 3" at the right margin AND of course I need to have each chapter be a section so that I can create the table of contents at the end. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get sections breaks in to be able to start my next section. I've read and read and read and I'm sorry, but I just don't get it. Could someone please explain step-by-step instructions I think these should be put up on the web as I'm sure that I can't be the only person out there trying to figure this out.
