Using Mac OS X 10.5.1, X11 v2.1.1, PowerBook G4 (PowerPC)
When using OOo v2.3 I had installed the DejaVu fonts and created a number of
templates.
When I installed OOo v 2.4 - 680m239 build 9242 these did not show up.
In ~/Library/Application Support/ I have two directories
~/Library/Application Support/OpenOffice.org/ which contains only a Fonts
directory
~/Library/Application Support/OpenOffice.org2/
Can I remove these directories?
I now have the following directory and things seem to work OK
/Applications/OpenOffice.org2.4.app/Contents/OpenOffice.org/2/user/
But I am not sure that the OpenOffice.org directory belongs in the Contents
directory.
I'd like to know where OOo stores the fonts and templates I want to add.
Thanks
Al Maloney
There is a bug i v2.4 - see bug report
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=84232
It has a workaround to point 2.4 back to the folders in /Library. You
should keep these folders since any update to 2.4 will replace the ones
in /Applications. I've copied the conversation I had on the Devel.
Porting Mac list below.

I just installed MacOSXIntel Aqua 2.4.0 build SRC680_m239. When
none of my previous settings were applied I went looking and found
that the settings folder <OpenOffice.org-aqua> is now under
<OpenOffice.org 2.4.app/contents> instead of
<User/Library/Application Support>.
Why is it in the app?
since m238. Know bug, obr is on it.

Some unexpected (and unwanted) side effect of re-using pkgformat
"installed" :-( .
Sorry about it,

Thanks. I will be sure to back up my User folder before I install the
next update, and I will keep the copy I currently have in
Library/Application Support.
I have added a workaround to
