[users] automatically indented footnotes

Hello, I need some help with a specific feature of open office.  I am 
using word but have a laptop that only has open office.  Hence, I make 
changes in open office and save them as a word document.  Now, all my 
footnotes appear automatically indented in the word version of the 
text.  Since my work is extremely long (dissertation), I don't want to 
manually adjust the endnotes.  Can you help me find out how to disable 
the automatic indent function in open office and or change the settings 
in word?
