2. Open the "OpenOffice.org Base" branch by clicking the small box to it's
left
3. select the "Databases" item
4. click the "New..." button
5. click the "Browse..." button
6. find the database that is to be registered and select it then click the
"Open" button
7. change the "Registered name" if desired
8. click the OK button, the database is now registered
9. click the OK button to close the options dialog

This information is repeated in the OpenOffice Getting Stared Guide at the
bottom of page 197. There's a lot of useful information in the guide for new
users. You might point it out as a resource to this couple who's taken up
your club newsletter.
